I'm at my cousins right now, looking after his dogs, two boxers.

A while ago, I took something upstairs and they both followed me, I went on one side of the room, and then I turned and they just jumped at each other, one grabbed the others neck and held on and the other was biting and clawing, I grabbed both collars and tried to pull them apart, I was using all the strength in my body and I couldn't get them apart.

Then they just let go of each other and started on me, one grabbed my arm, and the other was snapping at me, so I grabbed his collar and tried to hold him away, because one of the dogs had her teeth in my arm, I couldn't hold the other off, he sank his teeth squarely into my calf, oh my god did that hurt, I eventually managed to tear them off myself and I dragged one downstairs and put her in the cage, while I treated myself and the other dog.

My question is, will I need a tetinus jab?

Christ. You seem to get hurt easily. Like that time you dropped a digital camera on your head while we were talking on skype. I was trying to ask if you were okay through my laughter.

I don't think you need to get a tetanus shot but you might want to check with your doctor just in case. My brother got bitten by a pair of boxers a few months ago and he didn't need one.

I wouldn't risk not getting one.

lol Ennui I remember that. And not saying anything about it :P

It would be good to get one but as long as your joints don't get all sore and lock up then your probally good!

yes ..call your cousin and ask if their vacinations are up to date ..dont ever do that again, you're not their master, they could have easily turned on you ...the rule with dog fights is that unless you see blood it isnt serious ...just a power play

There was blood from them and me, I've cleaned it all from them, their fine.

I used anti-septic on my arm and leg and put a plaster on the bites.

call your cousin ...rabies wouldnt show up right away

If you're just trying to scare me now, please don't. :(

no man I'm serious, I've had 4 dogs in my lifetime and I've also been bitten twice ..call your cousin ...he'll know if the dogs have been vacinated ...also dog saliva has a lot of bacteria ..if the teeth punctured your skin you should go to the doctor ...even if you dont need stitches

It's a bad idea to pull figting dogs apart. Even your dog can bite you for interfering.

Erm, isn't it worrying you that the dog turned/attacked you? Is it safe to keep it as a pet?

Shit I hope something like that never happens to me- im allergic to the tetanus injection- like, seriously allergic.

You're from the UK mate; get yourself off to the docs straight away.
Forget Tetanus, rabies and whatever, a dog bite should always be seen by a doc.
Get yourself checked out mate.

Quick diagnosis by my Quincy for Firefox Plugin

It says "Verdict: Twice shy"

That was so random and pointless. You shouldn't be posting anymore.

I'm not really updated to english expressions since I'm a french speaking.

Can anybody join in here or it a case of " once bitten....."

jesus that was an awful pun , sorry guys:hmph:

Yeah NEVER pull fighting dogs appart unless they are tiny ones. Boxers..no, they could kill you.

I had a small Mutt kidn of dog..and then a Labradore. They got in a nasty fight, my dad ran into it and pulled em apart, well, one of them just nicked his arm with the teeth. Blood sprayed teh wooden fence, I thought it was a huge gash, but just a small deep one.

From then on, I woujld just throw a blanket on them, and take off with teh smallest :P

I think I worked out why they were fighting, I think the male dog is a bit horny and the female doesn't like it.

Also, the male dog is epileptic.

So last night after I left the PC, I went into the kitchen and I was getting a drink, I turned and looked at the dog, and he didn't look too good, his back legs were slipping from under him, and he went down and started to spasm.
I just held on to him so he didn't hurt himself and tried to calm him down after he stopped fitting.

After that he had another 2 spasms, on the third fit,
I decided to give him his diazepam (You may of guessed where.) and he calmed down a bit, he had 2 more fits after I gave him the diazepam, it was crazy, poor thing. :(

ive had my cat lurge at my face a few times, and those hurts =(

I hope you still called your cousin Shodan, i mean if those dogs arent fully fit anyway due to other conditions, they could have weakened immune systems and have all sorts of other infections and diseases. You must put your health first, then get that dog to the vet it sounds like. You'll regret it so much if you get infected, and you'll know about it!

Yeah my cousin was home last night, his dogs vaccinations are all up to date, and I got my jab too. :D

Apart from sore hands and legs, Me = Winnar (this time)
