I have just done something very stupid and gave the evil, disgusting, monopolistic, dastardly Steve Jobs and Apple Inc some of my money and bought an Ipod Nano . Also got an Isee case for it and an armband as well for when i go running and for the gym.

I think it's about time Bill Gates finally took out Steve Jobs and bought Apple and turned it into a decent computer company. ;(

My friend has an awesome phillips mp3 player. When it's turned off you can't tell what it is, it just looks like a lump of black glass, but when it's on all the buttons light up.

Some mp3 players are much nicer than ipods, but people still go for the ipods over other brands. I have an ipod, but that's not the point

no, apple better off without gates ..he's stolen enough from apple as it is

ipods are quality products as are mac computers ...in 10 yrs of using macs I've only ever had one serious problem which was fixed by apple no questions asked ...cant say the same for winpc products

iPods are for those who want stuff that looks good, rather than products that actually are good. I got a 30gb mp3 player ages ago for half the price of a 10gb ipod at the time. Nobody ever sees it anyway, since it's in a customised case in my pocket 99% of thetime.

I love my Nano, Razor. Don't feel bad. I'm waiting until the second generation of the iPod videos come out so I can get one of those.

For the record, the only reason I don't have one now is because with video the battery life is only 2 1/2 hours. UNACCEPTABLE. But still cool.

I researched a lot before buying an ipod ..best bang for the buck ..for $30 more than the creative I got the colour ipod ..it's not just the player it's also the software ..I've been using itunes for more than 4 years and it does everything I need it to do ..knock the player all you want but apple excels when it comes to software

Zen micro FTW. 4X as much space as the nano, and an FM tuner and microphone for $50 less! Plus it doesnt scratch or have its screen crack! :thumbs:

for the price of a 4g nano I bought a 20G ipod colour ..just gotta know when to buy (as soon as the next gen is announced prices across the board drop)

The Ipod Nano is a very sexy little thing though, can't wait for it to arrive . And pc today is just as reliable as a Mac is today, you just need to be a bit smarter using pcs, that's all.

The only reason i wanted an Ipod Nano was because i wanted a good solid state mp3 player. But the Ipod isn't the best mp3 player and compared to mp3 players of similar spec and quality, is overpriced.

I'd rather have a chunky player with 20 gigs for lots of extra files and a 24 hour batter life than a sleek, tiny one with a easily scratchable screen and 8-9 hour battery life.

In the end, the color screen and the ability to have album art sold me on my ipod video (currently I don't even have any videos on it). It's really cool to see the album you are listening to. A 30 gb slick looking player (the black looks glorious) with a color screen (320 x 240) that shows album art is worth my $300. The capability to show videos doesn't hurt either, even with the terrible video battery life.

The Creative and Apple players are both good, it just depends what you are looking for.
