Just re-watched the video in full motion, nope, not donkey kong.

However, notice that when gordon throws his nade that the garbage can to the left of the barricading car just instantly blows up into nothingness. Kinda weird....

Edit: cancel that, it's a recycling bin, not a garbage can. but seriously, check it out, it just disappears. wild stuff I tell ya.

That is crazy, it does just disappear.
But notice that when he throws the second nade the two recycling cans react to the explosion...

Like, give me an example. Maybe one of the designers loved original DK and decided to put it in the game. For example, at a game called The Wheel of Time, you could find a secret area, where there was a picture of terminator on the wall.

1) I don't see anything that resembles Donkey Kong in your screengrabs.

2) Unless Valve is paying royalties to Nintendo, it's doubtful you'd see a recognizable Nintendo character anywhere in Half-Life 2.

Nope. It is like paying respect. There is no interaction with DK. Nintendo would not sue over that. Now if there was an alien that looked like DK and ripped off human heads and suck the blood out then yes a cease and desist woudl be ordered.

BTW whatever you people are smoking to see DK please let the FDA approve it.

Look at the attachment on this page. I admit is very blurry, like wornout,
but to me it still resembles the face of DK. But anyways, dont take this too serious.
