Donnie Darko - Directors Cut

Anybody understand the end of that movie?

Me and my mate watched it last night and we're stumped. We looked up some stuff at IMDB.com that cleared up a little bit, but mainly just got us more confused.

did anyone get the jist of it?

Haven't seen the director's cut but the original sure was great.

Please make sure you read the "Philosophy of Time Travel." It's a very small book you can find online. It was written by the person who created this movie specifically for this movie. It is tremendously helpful in understanding what exactly is happening.
