Don't delet your save games!

Hi all. Having been playing Half Life 2 ever since I first saw how exceptional it was I am now very frustrated!

When loading a game it became extremely frustrating that I had a HUGE list of saved games to search through until I found the one I wanted.

Therefore like the perfectionist that I am (which might be my undoing) I deleted all but two save games so it made it much easier to load up a save game. So......the problem I have is this.

I have two saved games as mentioned, both of which involve another charachter in the game saying "come this way Dr. Freeman" or something similar.....then they just stand there like a spare prick at a wedding. The game cannot process something or the game engine is stuck or summat.

I know that on my hard drive there is a folder for save games. Does anybody have any saved game files they can send me?

I have saved the game at the following two places:

1. Lighthouse. Just blown up ship and according to walkthrough a colleague of mine is supposed to come up the stairs and say "Follow me.....blah, blah, blah". He doesn't! I go down the stairs and he is on the ground floor. He speaks to me then stands there and does nothing!!! :angry:

2. A bit further on in the game I have to kill a big monster in a valley area that needs a lot of hits (with the help of a colleague shooting him from
above a closed door). When we have killed him one of those friendly monsters comes out and I get a squeaky ball thing. Again the friendly monster says "Follow me" and just stands there!!! :angry:

I could copy and paste the console on here if it would help, but I think I'm buggered!

During the time these colleagues are 'static' the console has several lines of code in red text mentioning not being able to find sourceTarget1. Anything to do with the problem guys?

Please help me, I love this game and am stuck!!! :angry:

I type that in the window that comes up do I Ben? :dozey:

The window where I type ai_disable 0?

That =14 will put me at the start of that particular chapter I am at I assume?

the last loading thing:

im in some sort of ruins and i must shoot all striders when i did that barney comes walking by with dog and he starts talking bout dog that he cannot be stopped and stuff and then he looks at dog all the time and nothing happens :S everyones dead no more combines just barney dog and me (and 2/3 squadmates) and nothing happens! shouldnt he do something?

I typed the unlock bit in the console. clicked submit and nothing happened! :angry:

What exactly is supposed to happen when I type this?

The friendly alien remains to do absolutely nothing, I can't even shoot the bugger (which I know, obviously won't help matters).

I can get no further into this delightful game by typing this unlock thingy!

click new game then go to chapter 14

type in ai_disable 0 and then type in ai_norebuildgraph 1 that will help
