Don't Have all Models?

I was watching a video tutorial for the hammer editor and it seems i dont have all of the models, like props and everything. There just missing. I was wondering how i get all of them?

alright.. i'm lost. I have the retail version of HL2 with CSS installed.



there is a pic of my models folder, as you can see, things are missing. there isn't even a regular "props" folder.

there isn't a 'regular' props folder. from the screenshot, it looks fine
it's all automatically set up for you. all you need in the editor is a entity that uses a model, and it'll open that folder up and you can use any model in there.

i just checked my settings and it's set to HL2, i went through most of the prefabs folders but where are the rest of the prefabs, like all of the boxes, wood pallets, breakable bottles and cans, ect?

I had this problem too when I first started. What I did was set it to Counter strike (even if your not gonna do it for CS just do this.) The hit the thing on the SDK menu that says "reset Hammer Config Files" or something like that. Run Hammer. Then check your models. It worked For me. Good Luck.
