Okay, the suicide guy Stern posted last week was pretty stupid, but this is just overkill...

Parents of a 16-year-old boy in intensive care with a broken back want to know why police Tasered their son 19 times rather than calling an ambulance for help.

Citizens noticed Branson, Mo., teenager Mace Hutchinson walking alongside the road and, fearing for his safety, called 9-1-1.

"We called the police. My wife was afraid he was going to get ran over or hit," said witness Doug Messersmith. "He looked a little agitated but, other than that, he didn't look to be falling down drunk or anything like that."

When police arrived, they found Hutchinson under an overpass on U.S. 65 Saturday morning, Springfield's KY3 News reported. The boy had fallen 30 feet off the overpass and was lying on the shoulder.

When the boy didn't respond to police, they Tasered him, repeatedly.

WTF. D:

Maybe they thought he was dying and without a defibrillator...

D:

They better have a damn good excuse for this.

Seriously the **** does he think he is lying on the road like that. SERVES HIM RIGHT.

Not enough information to even comment on this. On the surface, it looks like police brutality, but lets agree we know far too little to make any sort of educational accusation.

Seriously America, sort your jumpy tazer trigger happy ****ing cowboy cops. The. **** Out.

That Capt. Rousset is a goddamn lying mother****er and he knows it, I half half a mind to find him, and wait until he suffers an injury, no-where near a crime scene or suspected of crime, seriously injured, come up to him, taze him in the ****ing balls 19 times and demand he comply to some order an injured person is clearly unable to do.

****ing douche.

God people like that make me angry.

Authorities say their use of a Taser weapon should not be questioned, because they were trying to help Hutchinson to safety.

"It's a big concern for the officers to keep this guy out of traffic, to keep him from getting hurt," Rousset said.

Go die in a fire.

I think it was a worthy experiment, to see how many electric shocks it would take before the body convulsed and spasmed into a vertical position.

"AHHHH! STOP TASING ME!"

"Don't worry kid, we're keeping you safe! You wouldn't want to get run over!" *ZZZAP* *ZZAPP*

"AHHHHH! IT HURTS!"

<suppressed officer laughter>

Wow, this is what happens when you give people power. They go out and taser whoever they want
The kid had a broken back, he wasn't going to get up and start throwing punches
Now a tranquilizer would've been better

Videos down, but judging by the comments this Sheriff sounds like a complete douche. Is the guys back permanently broken?

Can you imagine how much it would hurt being tasered with a broken back? Holy f*ck.

Exactly what I was thinking, hopefully the kid was in shock and couldn't feel much. (Pun seriously not intended)

Damn, thats ridiculous.
Police in America generally seem to be getting worse for this kind of stuff. i hope the kids alright. he's just lucky they didn't shoot him and plant a gun on him.
