Doom 3 config tweak

Dont know if this has been posted, couldnt see it.
Anyhoo:

In your DOOM 3 directory, find "DoomConfig.cfg" (x:\Program Files\Doom 3\base). Open DoomConfig.cfg in Notepad.

Find the line:

seta image_cacheMegs "32"

I changed 32 to 96.


it gives a nice boost in performance.

Why can't I have a low low end machine. Wait I do, it's a 9800 Pro

I have a pretty decent machine, and it helped me out. But I set it much higher, right now its at 512.
