Doom 3 Site Is Up!

I am like 10 seconds late with everything. :(

it says i installed flash correctly, but i still cant enter the site, can someone post a link to the home page?(the page u enter as soon as u click enter site.)

But they need to fix it. Firfox doesn't display it properly.

this is what i mean... when you go to www.doom3.com it says enter the site now when i click o nthat it doesnt work for me! so can someone post the link to the site that appears when u click on enter the site. thx!
 
Use IE, turn off popup blockers :), worked for me...ill see if I can get the link for you

Ha, that intro music is the complete opposite of what I expected. I was expecting some Silent Hill industrial stuff, instead I get a cheap rip off of Lateralus by Tool. Maybe Tool did a song after all...
 
yeah, that's one awesome looking site, but it would be cool if they had an official message board. Maybe www.ua-corp.com will be a place for that. I think the ua-corp site will be some kind of a Doom 3 community site, like there could be a list of all the D3 clans and such.
 
That is so f_cking Tool in that song, the speculation can end. TOOL did do a song for Doom 3.

the trailer is good but haven't listened to that tune tho :)

and the site is slow probably cause so many pple are accessing it :p
 
That site is being so hammerd that many things wont even complete! FYI if u are useing SP2 on the site you wont be able to download the doom song :( Darn new protections!
 
The site isnn't complete either, the hell knight image is distorted and if you refresh it shows the coming soon page again from the cache. I messed around for a while and finally it works - the full screen thing is an annoyance - I want it to be in a frame. The intro music, though, is good.

Takes tooo long to load, though. Just a sign of things too come, if the site has to load every thing just to show your screens, imagine your GPU heating up trying to work id's big fat evil baby.
 
The Doom 3 theme just rocks. Damn, release the whole thing!

If that IS a tool clip, then damn...it sounds so conventional...meh, what am I saying? I'm judging a tool song just by a 30 second clip of it!

But seriously, it sounds so much like Lateralus it's scary. The riff and tempo are very similar. I can't say it suits Doom 3 either.
 
doom3 looks damn scary
i will play it but i think i may have to be listening to jack johnson while playing to keep my sanity

It sounds very much like the music that filled Doom 2. I think it would make good menu music, if nothing else.

Yes, they should be making a 10 minute No Quarter Doom stylized track instead! But yeah, it does sound similar to Lateralus, and in my opinion that makes it even better. I can't really base much of an opinion on wether it suits the game or not untill I actualy purcahse it, but I rekon it will blend in nicely.
 
Just to add to my message above.. here is some Doom 2 music to compare.

It suits Doom 2 because that game was a mindless shooting spree. Heavy metal was pefect for it. But Doom 3 is a slow, chilling, suspensful game -- heavy metal will ruin the mood. even as menu music, I don't think it suits Doom 3 at all. Maybe the first two, fair enough, but this one? Not a bit.

Let me put it this way -- could you imagine playing Silent Hill with this song, and it being as scary as it is with it's current soundtrack? 'nuff said. I want music like the PSX version of Doom in Doom 3, not Tool.

I've never played Silent Hill, but I agree about the music.. which is why I think this is probably either menu music, or titles music.

If I recall correctly, some guy at id said the game itself is going to have very little music.
