I think I've become a DOOM 3 fan all of a sudden!

lol that mid is pretty cool, if they recreated it for doom3 that would be pretty nice. meh, listen to me lol, i dont even listen to rock and i like this thing

Trent Reznor is doing the sound, so I'm guessing that it's Nine Inch Nails who did the music...Not Tool.

No, Trent did most of the music and sounds for the in-game. He was hired to create suspenseful, chilling music to get inside your head and compliment the theme of Doom 3. I'm 98% sure the intro was done by TOOL.

Ha, that intro music is the complete opposite of what I expected. I was expecting some Silent Hill industrial stuff, instead I get a cheap rip off of Lateralus by Tool. Maybe Tool did a song after all...

i was expecting something ambient and industrial too....kind of dissapointed

It's a 30 second intro. I hardly think that it will ruin the start of the game for you.


Tool seems like a great choice. Their music is industrialized (to my liking) and their videos are creepy as well. Other than Trent Renzor from NIN, they seem like the only other logical choice without going too far into the mainstream.

I wouldnt call Tool industrialised at all, they make very organic music that flows. If you want to talk industrial, listen to Skinny Puppy, and then we'll talk.

Anyway, Trent Reznor quit ages ago, and with im went all of the sound he created. He did so to work on the new NIN album (ha).
