Eh? If you mean DM isn't meant to be scary, I don't think they're trying to make it scary. Only the SP will be scary. And if you're saying scary SP and regular DM don't mix...then that just doesn't make sense, considering they're two seperate game styles..

i meant DM as in a DM kind of style to the SP game- i dont mean multiplayer. Your running around with a minigun blasting through hordes of monsters in a deathmatch fashion, PLUS its supposed to be tense, scary and "bump in the night" like. That doent go together! you can either be running about shooting things, or creeping around corners scared shitless. you cant mix them together or one of the two isnt going to work.

Mmm nice.. this is a game i know very little from, apart from some screenshots ( unlike hl2 ) ..so it might be a big surprise for me..while waiting for halflife 2.

Doom 3: Day-exact date not officially

After only recently "Sommer 2004" when release date for Doom 3 was put firmly, now a new date rumor in the net emerged: 14. June 2004. Allegedly Activision England confirmed this date. The play is to be published therefore at the same time in Europe and the USA and be cost scarcely 50 euro. The German address disclaims this message however vehement and refuses any further comment.

does it matter if Doom3 is released before HL2 or not?

i mean it seems like the minds are set (particularly on this site), either ur going to buy the game or not.. and those that are too young to remember Doom's 1+2 will just wait for reviews and demos..

its hard to find pple share the experience of playing Doom1 and 2 and the excitement of seeing Doom3 come out unless u go to a Doom3 forum... :|

I played DOOM 2 this afternoon with my friend in LAN. I had such a blast, i wonder why no other game gives me this much fun. DOOM has it's unique gameplay and differs from every other games, even if it's a shoot and run game.

Yeah I used to love Doom Co-Op games with my brother and mates, the best fun to be had over a serial cable, that's for sure.
