Ign has it exclusively: <LINK>. Typical Hollywood blockbuster trailer. The monsters arent really shown.

O right cool, well it looks ok, guess seeing as its based on a game you'd expect it to be cheesy, can't really be taken seriously...looks better than resident evil. But then a pile of dog turd looks better than resident evil.

I think it looks pretty good. I liked the look of the film.
 
Critics will hate it, but It'll probably be a laugh. One thing I like is that they're not using much GCI- it's men in suits :D

Well, I'm not going to the movie just to see The Rock. I'm going because I love the DOOM games and everything associated with DOOM.

...which surprises me. Did you see the hell knight when the guy kicked it? They should have considered this. I'll rent it for sure, but I doubt it's worth theater admission.

That's just a cover for the movie so the wackjob right wingers's heads don't explode at the mention of Hell in a movie.:upstare:
Regarding the movie, it looks pretty good. Maybe it will be the best of the videogame movies...
 
Actually...I really want to watch that now. If only to see if it actually is the Aliens homage it looks to be.

Sucks that it isn't monsters from Hell though. I mean, that's a pretty damn cool idea for evil monsters, much better than mutants.
 
The movie looks absolutely amazing and very spot on with the Doom3 game.

like sulkdodds said looks very aliens-esque, woulda prefered hell on mars too with just maybe a single lone marine like the game who has to find bravo team/other survivors, save his own ass etc...

Luckily, Stan Winston's on creature design.
Luckily, it has several good actors.

It looks like it'll be really fun to go and see at the movies. :D I'm anxious now.

If this movie does turn out to be shit (I'll wait for the reviews) and people go to see it in their droves, it'll prove one thing, Gamers are stupid and an easy market to tap into. As soon as people stop going to see these crappy adaptations, Hollywood will stop making them.

Im hoping for the the best with this movie but I doubt people will go to see it in droves. I'm gonna support it because I'm a DOOM fan. Besides, I think the R rating will eliminate a lot of the kiddies in the theater. ;)

If they think the movie looked "fun" from that teaser they have bad taste in movies.
 
But don't you enjoy ripping the shit out of bad movies post-theatre? I mean, going to see King Arthur was great fun (well, not while I was in there, but it was great fun afterwards).
 
lol, that is 'NOT' doom, wheres my satisfaction Karmack.. :( Im sure they worked really hard on it but I demand a scrap and remake, wheres the glowing pentograms and dimensional portals, wheres the candles, and tenticles infesting the walls, wheres the burning sculls that fly through people, wheres the core component to the doom feel? constantine had hell and demon's why the feck cant they do this right? ARGH.

Hm, I dont think the film will be very good.. Theres only so many times a demon thing can pop up behind a door and go "Boo" before it gets old. Even in the game I was started to shoot the second I turned a cornor and most of the time got headshots on things.. :/

You and all other people with this attitude is totally wrong. If no bad movies, no good movies.

There has to be bad movies, to even make good movies exist. If all movies were good, well how could they be good without having anything to compete against ?

For me, i think this movie will be another great experience.
 
This movie looks terrible. It looks worse than Alien versus Predator. :|
 
In the trailer, it doesnt look or feel like doom, just another Resident Evil movie :(
