Well its fake, and i personally hate these kind of threads, but DAMN that looks INSANE! It looks REAL, it looks crazy! Now i want that in a game!

What are your thoughts on people who make these things? Like iv seen other fake pictures for games and the more that come out the more i have this weird feeling. Its like, just because that person made that model i know it wont be in the real game. Its sad, because these people really make some very impressive stuff.

I think the people who actually create their own models are awesome. They should be able to easily get a job at any gaming industry, but everyone knows thats not the case.

Pretty nice model. If it is built from scratch the creator has some skillz. I'd love to play DooM4 as that character...

It looks a little retarded. Like.....the monster literally looks like it may have a learning disability.

EDIT: Plus, with no lighting effects it just looks like crap. And the background makes no sense.

AFAIK there is more to game modeling then being able to make nice models. You need to be able to do it with as few polygons as possible too, those guys should probubly focus on doing CG movies instead.

this is true. if you can texture things well then polys can be reduced and it still looks good. if some company can do this well, then they could probably create a game as good as half life 2....
