Dota 2 Weekly Patch - 7/03/13: *Not* Skywrath Mage

Which do you want first? The good news or the bad news? I take it you've already read the headline of this post so I'll get straight to it - No, Skywrath Mage is not included in this week's Dota 2 update like everybody was expecting. Unlike the past few weeks, a major new feature or improvement also remains to be seen, with this update focusing primarily on gameplay bug fixes and slight UI improvements. Additionally, in-game music will now play for spectators and replay viewers. Exciting times, ladies and gentlemen.

On a more serious note - Leshrac, Rubick, Bounty Hunter and Windrunner all received brand new cosmetic item sets alongside the release of the "Fiery Soul of the Slayer" item for Lina. When equipped, this new headpiece changes Lina's appearance to make her look similar to the initial artwork which was released parallel to the announcement of Dota 2 back in 2010. Here's hoping next week's update will be a lot more exciting, with perhaps the addition of a new hero or gameplay feature. gl hf, as always.

I originally hated that design of Lina when it was first released, but I gotta admit it makes a pretty cool skin. The new dragon slave effects look really cool too.

Part of me still hopes that one day there will be a skin that pays homage to the source material. Altering spell effects could also make the Ragna blade look like it's supposed to:
