Ok, I have a theory. I think magnossun is the gmam. Because first off, they look similar except magnusson is fatter, secondly magnusson worked at aperature science, which is where the portal technology was invented, which may be how gman gets around.

Thoughts?

Damn, no need to be outright rude! I'm just speculating!

And if all you can say is "wrong" to all my points, without a healthy debate, then leave because you're nothing more than a spammer.

'secondly magnusson worked at aperature science'

why do you think that?

I doubt it tbh :)

Where did you deduce that Magnusson worked at Aperture? He was a Black Mesa scientist (confirmed in the game), and was standing at a microwave exactly when the Gman was arguing with someone in another room, not a minute away. Debunked.

I thought it said somewhere that he did. And thanks for explaining to me that.

You're answer was the reason I made this thread, to speculate and converse. I didn't need you all coming at me like jerks!

If all you can do is post theories without either reading other threads or playing the actual games, then don't post, because you're nothing more than a spammer. :p

Magnusson worked at Black Mesa, not Aperture. He is not the G-Man. Aperture and Black Mesa were both working on Portal Technology, as far as I've seen, there's nothing to confirm that one company had it working that much longer before the other.

Wow, I did both of those things, if all you can do is make wild accusations with no proof, then you're not only a spammer you're an idiot.

I SENSE LIES.

Well, they're quite clearly *not* the same person, because you *do* see them in the same room together.

Neither of those quotes proof I never read other threads or play the HL games.

As was already mentioned in the thread by people who weren't me, it's confirmed in game that Magnusson worked at Black Mesa (after being mentioned several times in interviews by Laidlaw and others) not Aperture, and you do see him in the same room as the GMan. He also looks nothing like the GMan

I have seen a lot of theories in my time. My eyes have bore witness to countless threads of speculation and hypothesis. I was there at the dawn of Rumours and Speculation. Such theories have I seen: Gordon is G-man, G-man is Gordon's father, G-man is Gordon from a parallel universe, Slick is G-man, G-man is an alien, G-man is a robot, G-man is in a host body, Gordon and Adrian are parts of the G-man's personality separated from him, G-man is a time lord, G-man is a member of THAT SPECIES WHICH SHALL NOT BE NAMED, G-man works for the Combine, G-man is a Combine, G-man is a hallucination...and now, this.

These eyes have seen many theories on the G-man.

These eyes weep. They weep bitter, bitter tears. Your theory makes me cry, Fox. Hopefully my tears will reach you, and you will forget about this insane theory of yours, and you will come to be a productive and rational member of the community. Welcome to the forum.

Nice way to argue something I wasn't even talking about. I was reffering to how you said I never played any of the hl games and never read threads.

And I also admitted my theory was wrong like 5 posts in!

"and you do see him in the same room as the GMan."

Two people have said that, and that isn't true :/ wtf

They are like twins!! :hmph:

I think that the Illuminati must have made them look that similar when they were hiding their satanic symbols on starbucks cups.

Whoa there, Sally.

If you want to have a theory taken even the least bit seriously, you've got to look up on it. If you're too damn stupid to not do research and get some backup from the source (lol pun) material, then you should expect the full fury of people too damn sick of seeing this day in and day out.

If you did play the games and read the threads, then I suggest going back over them, because you obviously went by so fast that you filled in the gaps with your own imagination.

Your theory that Magnusson and GMan being the same person is so far fetched that I wonder if you've even taken a look at the characters. Which I'm sure is why I and comoxer posted comparison shots. Widows peak aside, they look nothing alike.

Doing your research before posting keeps you from coming across as a moron. And God knows we have enough of those around here already.

I'm not a jerk. You can trust me with your emotions and feelings.

How can you speculate these things when everything you've said is contradicted in the game???

I DID read up on the threads and found none regarding my theory, and the only reason my theory was wrong is because of 1 single incident most could have missed, I never knew the man next to the microwave was magnusson.

It's k. Lets all hold hands and avoid World War 3. Because really, Yorick will nuke your continue if this goes on any longer.

Where at? I probably missed it, I'm only human.

How can you miss it? After you play with the Strider Buster he tells you

"And Freeman, if you do this I might just forgive you for a certain scuffle at black mesa. You know the one I mean. Involving a certain microwave casserole."

This is by far the least thought out theory I've ever seen. :|

I think he says 'that debacle' instead of 'scuffle', too. Debacle is a good word.

How can I not miss it? I have to keep the volume somewhat low when playing PC games, I have the TV on too right across from me. Its not uncommon or even outlandish to miss it.
