Dr. Robotnik signs arms deal with North Korea

Dr. Robotnik has agree to share weapons technologies with North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, it emerged after a landmark summit earlier today.

The North Korean leader stated that he was "Very excited about flying one of these Death ships and shooting up the White House a bit".


Dr. Robotnik declined to comment, although he was allegedly reported to say "I don't mind as long as I get my cash and some Hedgehogs get killed in the process."


Dr. Robotnik had his funding cut by the US government late last year, after animal rights groups claimed that he had been catching rodent populations and imprisoning them inside small death robots.

And here's why...
Robotnik is, I believe, Russian for "worker", plus he wore red and had a big ol' Stalinist moustache. He trapped the good animals and turned them into cold oppressed mindless robots by force.
Sonic, on the other hand, was blue (traditionally a more conservative colour, of course). and American. He was always after gold rings - accumulating wealth - which also gave him more power (extra lives and such). His purpose was to free the animals from their oppressor and ultimately to bring down Robotnik.
Makes perfect sense, no?

I don't think Tails or Knuckles really fit into this theory at the start.

EDIT: Worker in Russian is ACTUALLY "рабочий". Quite how one pronounces that I'm not sure.
