DRIV3R cop cars = retro ?

Picked up DRIV3R for the PS2 last night... I was just curious if anyone knows why the cop cars are the old-school boxy cop cars... the game appears to be set modern day, unlike Vice City...

anyone in Miami? Don't the cops down there drive Caprice Classics like everywhere else?

Driver 3 is a great game, but the timeline is all jumbled up. I'm pretty sure Driver 1 & 2 took place in the 1970's, it was obvious really. But Driver 3 has laptops and cell phones, as well as some newer cars, so apart from the gigantic plot hole I guess we can just assume it's modern day.

I liked it... better than driver 2.

it had a couple a issues... but honastly i never encountered all the bugs that everyone else did... It deserved better press than it got.

It's pretty cool just driving around, it has some very nice idea but the single player wasn't very interesting as far as I played. But then the same went for the first two.

Well, i thought the story mode was complete naff. Every single mission was an unbalanced mess of poor design.

However, story-mode aside the Director is utter brilliance
