I passed :D

I literally can't stop smiling...I feel so relieved, and its not just because I was so nervous I urinated about my person.

I've finaly done it...

Pretty soon I shall be placed on the insurance of my mother's new car, and I will be ready to drive away :D

(First time don't ch' know.)

Well done!! Teh sparrow!! \o/

Congratulations mate.

Heres a tip - enjoy the driving whilst it lasts. By that I mean, shortly after your test, you enjoy driving for the sake of driving, but after a while you do get bored of driving, so enjoy it whilst its fun.

Not sure if the 'feeling of independence' factor fades, but I have been driving over a year and a half and it still hasn't for me.

Now that you've learned to pass your test, you just need to go and learn how to drive:D

Congrats again

Bastard! I failed my first time for not looking left long enough turning left out of a T junction :) I've got my second test tomorrow, hopefully I'll do as well as you and don't get another Nazi.

congrats dude.
carefull in the streets. i remember when i first drived, i felt like a whole new person XD

STAY AWAY FROM DOWNTOWN STREETS ON WEEKEND NIGHTS FOR THE FIRST TWO MONTHS. My friend Shannon didn't listen and she got in an accident. You aren't a good enough driver yet, stay away from downtown trust me.

I drive an average of 400 km/day in the summer, I have become a very good driver thanks to that, but even still I have to dodge cars left and right downtown especially the cab drivers who can't even speak english and don't know how to drive. Not like they care, if they crash it's not their car, it's the cab companies.

im still takin lessons, i think i shud pass nicely first go...

i know how to drive, i find it easier to drive when the instructor doesnt hassle you... like when i take a damn lesson, they tell me to do this, look there, ****ing confuses me. rofl

I failed my first one because I drove through a red light. Ahem.

Anyway, Congratualations Farrowlesparrow.

And good luck, Munro.

EDIT: I also had a friend who failed because he didn't overtake a milk float. He was so pissed off

AND, my mam's friend failed once because she knocked someone over. On a Zebra crossing.

Congrats

And good luck Munro :)

Tell me more about this points system...so far all I've heard is that we start off with 6 points (It goes up to 12 after 2 years), which we must guard.

I'm so happy :D My mother bought her new car today, and soon I shall be driving it \:D/

:| Actually, since I passed first time I have 6 points for the first 2 years and then it goes up to 12, if I have 12 points taken off my license within 3 years, then I have to take the tests again.

As for my previous post...I was trying to carry on the joke stern started :p

Drivers convicted of certain driving-related offences have demerit points recorded on their records. It is a common misconception that drivers "lose" points due to convictions for certain traffic offences. In fact, a driver begins with zero demerit points and accumulates demerit points for convictions. Demerit points stay on your record for two years from the offence date. If you collect enough points, you can lose your driver's licence.

Edit: A table outlining the demerit point penalties for driving offences: Click Here.

What kind of subs? I had 3 tens (MTX) and I wanted to actually switch over to two twelves. (they sound better)
I had some sony xplods and they sucked, (the 6X9's)
Actually I think sony fixed them and rereleased them, good luck!

sony xplod, ive tried them in friends car, sounds fine, 12 " / 30cm

1400w peak power
400w rated power

King's right. You get points for offences, you don't lose points.

edit: From http://www.highwaycode.gov.uk/

"Many of the rules in the Code are legal requirements, and if you disobey these rules you are committing a criminal offence. You may be fined, given penalty points on your licence or be disqualified from driving. In the most serious cases you may be sent to prison. Such rules are identified by the use of the words MUST / MUST NOT."

Also see the table at the bottom.

Good luck, Munro!

I completed Driver's Education for my permit a few months ago, never been so scared in my life as the first time I got behind the wheel... so frightened I forgot to put on my seatbelt :X

Anyway, regardless...its the same thing. Its just another way of saying it. You're adding penalty points to a license which holds 12 slots. When someone gets a ticket, around here we just say "Thats 3 points on your license". Sometimes, we say "Thats 3 points off your license" Its the same thing!

So please...let us move on from this trivial matter as its really quite pointless.

Yeah, but I'm right and you're wrong.

And that's the most important thing of all.

FLS-Edit: I believe this is the most important thing of all.;)

Excuse me, but I think you'll find you're talking from your arse? In fact, perhaps your arse is somehow less intelligent than your brain?
