DSL Multi-Player

ever time i play day of defeat around 9:00pm, my dsl would go down, as soon as i shut it off (the game) it goes back,

If your DSL truely goes out then you can't control that. Contact your ISP. If your router or PC disconnect at your end at 9PM then thats a different story. Although I have no clue what it is. Other PCs in your house have the same problem or do you just have 1 PC connected online?

i think it would be that there is a timer on ur router or something have u tried any other games at 9

no, i only play dod, it didn't happen at my old house, i moved 6 mounth ago, and no, only one comp.

Do you have a router or are you pulled directly into the Modem?

Have any software that is set to run at 9pm? Updates or defrag etc that would interupt with your DOD game or internet?

the exact opposite happens to me while playing et ...when i play its fine but when i close the game my dsl goes off for a lil whiel and then comes back again.

My friend has a wierd issue with his DSL. Sometimes he has to leave the phone on (dial tone) for his DSL to work, so he says. His cordless has run out of battery power before and then been disconnected. I've seen him log off and then on a few mins later several times. lol

Asus tell yourfriend to get a homerun which is bsically a a direct connection of the RJ34X i believe regular phone cable to the NID. he wont have any filtrs because the dsl line will be connected directly the line and he wont have to worry about other phones in the house or other peripherals screwing up his dsl.

btw if you need fast help with your dsl or other internet connection isp and good good advice www.dslreports.com will surely help you and if you cant find help thee call your isp.. isps usually = unhelpfuk
