The caveat applied to the whole sentence. If files-being-renamed was wrong, then the whole sentence was invalidated.
I was correct that the files are renamed, and whether renamed files is a sufficient method or not is personal preference, so you can't say I'm flat out wrong. I'd think most people wouldn't be happy with it.

I never said you were wrong about the files being renamed because that doesn't have jack to do with what the guy is asking about. All he wanted to know was a way to transfer songs from iTunes to the iPod, and the only thing you need to do is turn on disc mode and simply drag the files from the library to the iPod in the source menu. That's it. I don't understand why you keep arguing this. So yeah, if your so insistent on being right, then yes, your correct, the files are renamed on your iPod when you transfer them from iTunes. So the **** what? How does that help him at all? Hell, even a program, which you were suggesting he should use, like maybe XPlay or Ephpod, changes file names and puts them in the correct hidden folders, because that's how the iPod reads them.
