Dude, wheres my flashlight?

After the last auto update Gordon's flashlight stopped working. Well, its stopped lighting up dark places anyway. the only thing it seems to do now is change the illumination on decals like blood splatter and bullet holes.

Any idea what the cause of this could be and/or a simple fix?
