Believe this and you'll believe anything.

(I think it's been scanned from a mag... mods, delete it if you absolutely must, but I think it deserves to be laughed at)

EDIT: Well, that's odd... can't get it to display as an image...

Well that Arnold Yabenson looks like one hell of a credible Computer err. saveur!
It looks like News from the World article they usually do stuff like: Worlds Fattes Grandma marries Bigfoot and the like..

Wow, thats got just about as much credability as doug lombardi giving a release date for hl2 that holds-

You can burn someones pc up using hacks which could lead to a fire, but a bomb, lolz.

lol, that was in one of those fake tabloids, IE. The Sun
It's not meant to be a real/serious article, but it's still funny :)

The worrying thing is though that so many people probably read it and believe it, lol

Bigfoot was also killed, according to one of the magazines :(

I dont know if any of you know this or not, but cathode ray tubes IE monitors and TVs can implode unexpectidly with enough force to kill those sitting infront of them.

To this day there is absolutly no way to garuntee this wont happen and occasionally still does.

Now, to be absolutly sure, it is very difficult to get them to implode in such a manner, but it can and does happen.

I have one of them cathode thingies in my computer!!!!! OH GOD!!!

That guy on the picture looks stoned.

LOL, this artical is about as corny as that movie "HACKERS." I think that's what the movie is called.

/me downloads image to HD

Hey an e-mail.

/me opens the e-mail and dies from shrapinal from the computer case.

Wtf, computers can't explode *BOOM* AH MY HAIR MY HAIR MY SKIN!*Rolls on floor with grade 5 burns*

"Instead of blowing up a single plane, these groups will be able to patch into the central computer of a large airline and blow up hundreds of planes at once".

Who knew that all major airlines kept explosives on their planes, and that these explosives could only be detonated from a single central computer that controls all the functions of the airline.

What kathodes are evil!! OMG!!1!!1§1!

/me throws monitor out the window shouting "§$ DAMN YOU H3XX0rz!! and buys a new 17"lcd.

"...the electrical current and molecular structure of the central processing unit is altered, causing it to blast apart like a large hand grenade"

Hah! Doing that with an internet connection is like stopping bullets with your mind :p

This is true, hackers can make ur pc BOOOM!!!.

there is a program called CPUFUKER.exe or CPUFUK something like that. The program allow you to disable the fan over the CPU, in return the CPU will heat up then BOOM burn, fire, explodeing, and death. :(

That would depend on whether the fan is hardwired or software-controlled. And it's probably the former. So I'd say it wouldn't work, G0rgon...

Nothing from Weekly World News is serious, my friend has a subscription to it, btw, check out http://www.weeklyworldnews.com they even have a article "ALIEN SKULLS FOUND ON MARS!".

they're a bunch of jokers, no articles are serious.

lol, maybe in a long long long time it will happen but not now at least :)...

Considering there is no company called the NCPF (mentioned in the article) this is comepletely fase (duh)

and

"You've Got Paranoia!"

Fear of the future fosters
foolish Net prank.

Tellingly close to April Fool's Day, a story made the rounds of the hyperbolic and the gullible, purporting to report a grave threat to all computer owners: You're typing on a bomb! A bomb!

The National CyberCrime Prevention Foundation, which does not come up on any Web search, allegedly reported that clever hackers are capable of making any computer connected to the Internet go boom.

Behold, the breathless lead from the Weekly World News Online:

WASHINGTON--Right now, computer hackers have the ability to turn your home computer into a bomb and blow you to Kingdom Come -- and they can do it anonymously from thousands of miles away!

The Weekly World News "reporter" allegedly spoke to an Arnold Yabenson, president of the hard-to-find NCPF. Yabenson is quoted thus:

"It is already possible for an assassin to send someone an e-mail with an innocent-looking attachment connected to it. When the receiver downloads the attachment, the electrical current and molecular structure of the central processing unit is altered, causing it to blast apart like a large hand grenade."

"Yabenson" also promises that this technology will soon be in the hands of "terrorist cults" and "fanatical religious-fringe groups." Hundreds of planes will be remotely blown up at once by "patch[ing] into the central computer of a large airline," and, worst, "anyone who ... holds a grudge against you or just plain doesn't like your looks can kill you and never be found out."

No wonder the NCPF doesn't have a Web site ...

Well, if your pc still uses 5'4 floppies, chances are it'll blow up all by itself.

o danm
they find my secrets
now I must destroy the Halflife2.net site for my own security

pendejos seguro creen que es mentira
