DVD Release?

But, is there going to be a DVD-ROM version of the game? I'm guessing that this could possibly be the "Special Edition" version?

Yep the Collector's Edition will have the DVD version.

Vivendi would be handling all that sort of thing, and its pretty standard nowadays to release anything above 3 CD's on a DVD.

So im pretty sure there will be.

Awesome, DVD-ROM is certainly going to become more and more common as these games get much much larger in size.

Not just larger in size but the price for the publisher is getting to the point where it would actually be cheaper to produce 1 DVD instead of 6-7 CDs.

im notsure copy protection is as good on dvds as it is on cds

not saying its great on cds...securom2 is pretty good thou, have to actually burn the image which is a pain...

Standard in Europe, perhaps.. North America is pretty much shafted in that department :|
