DVI vs VGA

on monitors, these both are options for inputs...
what's the differnce?
which is better? why?
 
Daa I always thought VGA was for CRT's and DVI for LCD's.

Of course I could be wrong, but whenever I seen a LCD I seen a DVI end, and whenever I seen a CRT I seen a VGA end.

no ur right vga is meant for crt and dvi for flat panel lcd
 
DVI is digital and VGA is analog.
Keeping it all digital is best if you have a LCD since both the PC and the LCD screen are digital.
There are VGA ports on LCDs but it's just for backwards compatibility since not all machines have a DVI port.

CRT's are analog so they use a VGA port.

I was always wondering if i should use the DVI or VGA port on the LCDs.
