i can't believe warren spector can allow his name to be attached to this steaming pile of absolute shite. serisouly. what's happened to him?

and sign it, devs do read petitions but publishers don't always allow them to act on it. so some of our comments may actually hit home with someone at ion storm.
 
Try the demo. Its utter crap imho.



But meh, some people seem to like it. But the overwhelming majority hate it. They have completely over simplified it. Hacking now involves walking up to an ATM and pressing use. There is no menu for puting in codes and talking out cash and no timer to make you hurry. Same with keypads. No longer can you find codes lieing arround and use them like a little thief. You have to hack, with no risk involved at all.

Its not worth buying in this state, thats for sure!

It could be beter in the full game though. ut I doubt it..... :(

but Ion Storm seriously deserve a whipping or having their balls chopped off or something. or better yet, making them full time console developers, that way they can't release their shit on PC anymore.

I just downloaded the demo. The gameplay is so boring in my opinion. There is nothing much you can interact with except hacking computers and ATMs.

The controls are not convenient. I was using WASD but I have to use Numberpad for the neuro thing. huh
 
I downloaded the demo, I never played the 1st game, so I thought I would play the 2nd one as there was a demo download stareing me in the face on fileplanet, after getting it and downloading.. I must say... ick

The HUD was pure evil, everything was too big, blocking the view, controls where dumb as hell, I know you can change them, but I dont mean what keys you press, I mean the way you do things in the game, is just stupid.

I dont understand why it runs so slow, I have a 128 radeon 9600, every other game runs like a dream, this runs like say.... doom 3 alpha, also feels like an alpha at that, text was huge, apartently Ion storm all need glasses.

The game itself, pfft, I really hope this is not what everyone has been playing for ages (DX1) honestly, someone tell me, was DX1 better then this? Its ment to have things like hacking and snecking around, well that works like a DREAM on DX2 (cough not cough) its shot or be shot basicly.

Also, guns shareing ammo? Dumbest-thing-ever.
 
You know, unless the petition increases in size exponentially, the only way you can make a difference is if you boycott the game and not buy it when it comes out in a few weeks...
 
But it, buy it, BUUUUY IIIIT!

I love the RPG aspects the most. And the Biomods.

Well, I guess I'll have to just take everyone's word for it...

I download, I install, I can't play. Now THAT'S what I call quality!
 
Who knows? Maybe the demo was a marketign sheme to increase sales of DX1, but DX2 is actually good.

Probably not. Gamers would hate them for commiting such stupidity.
 
It's a lost cause, the game has been desighned around the average dipshit Xbox gamer. Even if they released a patch with all the fixes for everything mentioned in the pettition it would still disapoint. Some of the very early DX2 screen shots looked very promiseing and so did the early previews but it's just gone downhill from there.
 
i hope they release DX2 in it's current state. i'm not gonna bother campaigning for it to be delayed, no-ones gonna listen. and then when it doesn't do well on any platform, they can kiss my behind. and when they start work on DX3, they can make it an xbox exclusive, cos i don't want anything out of ion storm except thief 3 and system shock 3.

Long Live Deus Ex (the original).
 
I've signed it. Still, if they dont change it I can look forward to certain reveiwers having to slate the sequel to their favourite game ever.

Good grief, that just made me think about what'll happen if HL2 turns out to be good looking rubbish.
