The thing that always worried me about the screenshots of DX2 was few people in each shot. It seemed to indicate that the engine used might have some capacity issues.
This worry was confirmed when I went to the greasel bar. The number of people there is pathetically low for a bar, and there is no real animation to them beyond their conversations and a little bit of random movement. This might of worked with the old game, but looks faintly ridiculous with the new. I'd of expected to see people go to the bar and order drinks, take a seat and smoke cigarettes etc.
The greasel pit fights downstairs were even more dismal. I mean you had four people there. The bookie, the two trainers and one fan, hardly the sort of audience level that you'd think would constitute a viable gambling proposition. There should of been 10 -20 people in the stands at least, cheering and whooping during the fight.
beyond sheer laziness, I can only conclude that given the dramatic lighting that the X Box simply isn't capable of supporting vast numbers of individuals in frame unlike the PC, and subsequently the games been dumped down accordingly.
