A quick question. I noticed while running the game in DX8.1 (P4 3.2GHz, gig of ram, radeon 9200 pro 128mb), that the water on the coast for example, has a very rough transition to the land. In DX9.0 is this difference smoothened out?

Yea, but I don't think your caard can handle DX9 anywayz

I know I'm upgrading to a Gigabyte X800 XT. Will have in 18 days.

Sorry to double post but does DX9 also further the draw distance in the game?

Uhhh... do you mean how far you can see? Or how far detailed textures stay untill they blur out?

Draw distance is determined by the map maker, and is not limited by your video card power. (Although too far will lag ofcourse)

That water blending is HOT!! :O

Ah ok. White Zero, could you post some more screenies of that content plz?

Well, I thought you meant by draw distance that when the scenary totaly dissapears. Is that correct? I'm just a little confused.
Or if you were refering to the detail bias, where the textures become lower quality as you get further away from them (to improve performance).

Sorry, I should of been more clear. I meant where the scenery disappears completely but, vegeta seemed to have answered my question. Yeah, but I meant screens of the water/land difference.

Jameth, what's your specs and what kind of fps do you get with those settings?

x800xt
p4 3.2ghz
asus p4c800-e deluxe
1gb geil ram

i get around 30fps(heavy fire fights) - 100 fps

depends really. definately playable though.
