Something just struck me: are the sea bed and strider demos updated versions of last year's areas, or similar areas taken from a different parts of the game?

obviously updated areas.

the scenes look too similar to be different, I dont think Valve would be all cheap and copy and paste areas then just change them slightly.

the whole game takes place over the span of 3 days, I doubt areas could change that drastically in that time-frame

EDIT: the sea-bed is what I was refering to.
the Strider area looks to be brand new

I would say similar areas. What in the world would make them obviously updated? The layout of the streets in the strider video is completely different , and theres no reason that theres only one dock on the seabed, and the layout and gameplay was again completely different.

yeah but does every dock on the seabed have a crane that you use to open a bridge thingy?
Im talking about the seabed.
the strider scene looks to be all new.

the seabed has just too much thats similar, a bridge to it's right.. the body of water is still there too (not the oceanside, the river beneath the main bridge)
the crane, and the bridge (draw bridge style, its up.. needs to be lowered)

The E3 levels we saw last year were mock ups and you probably won't see the exact scenes in the game.

This year - I'm a little bit unsure.
