Hell, I'm 17 and I use ebay all the time, under my parents info. They don't care though. One word of advice : make sure if your item is fragile or something mechanical, get shipping insurance. I recently sold an HPI RS4 3 Type SS nitro RC car to a guy on ebay, it was damaged in the mail and I had to give him a full refund (I did get the car back, though)
