IGN:

'The original Echochrome blew the collective mind of PlayStation 3 owners with its extremely unique take on puzzle-solving. By rotating the camera around surreal, M.C. Escher-style environments, players created paths merely out of altered perspectives, in an attempt to get a simple figure into a goal. At this year's E3, the Echochrome name quietly returns with Echochrome II, fully compatible with the PlayStation Move.

In Echochrome II, the premise is abstract but surprisingly easy to grasp. You use the PlayStation Move wand to shine a light on a series of white blocks. By casting shadows on the wall behind the blocks, players must create a shadowy path for the game's silent, wandering hero to walk over. The player's only task is to help the silhouette reach the end goal.

I dug Echochrome II right from the start, as the gameplay is as easy as pointing the Move wand at the screen, yet challenging in that you're working with a very abstract principle. For example, some of the levels have hidden goals, which can only be revealed when the shadows form a certain shape. These shapes are usually hinted at in the level's title, like "A Smile Brings You Good Luck." In this level, you need to shine the light to form a smiling face out of the shadows. Once this is done, the exit door appears.

There's actually not much else that can be said about Echochrome II, as gamers just need to see it for themselves. But there are an impressive number of extra features that come along with the elegant puzzler. There are approximately 100 levels in Echochrome II that will come packaged with the game, but there's also a level-creation tool which can be used to design your own puzzles, which can then be uploaded for other people to try for themselves. Echochrome will also feature a YouTube uploader and a serene soundtrack. The soundtrack is of special note, because of its unobtrusive usage of a string quartet and piano melodies.

Echochrome II looks to be a great evolution of the original puzzle game, and one that will make good (albeit subtle) use of the PlayStation Move wand.
