Edit Time Increased?

I just went to a thread I posted in about 20 minutes ago, and I was still able to edit. Has the edit time increased from 15 minutes, or has my conception of time become longer?

I have been able to edit one week old posts...yes, it has been increased

Incidentally the edit time was increased rather a lot to allow the new news posters to edit and delete their news posts. This is done as they don't have proper moderator permissions.

Not sure if it ever should be a week though...
