editing css maps

is there anyway to edit a css map? like because for my server, theres some maps that people would like me to edit, so i can fix some stuff and add some stuff to make them better, but i cant open a bsp file, does anyone know how i can? i would greatly appreciate it, thanks

Generally looked down upon, but you can use vmex to decompile fix up the map and recompile.

Decompiling usually creates errors in the map and will should be fixed before compiling again.

Or you could rebuild the map from scratch.
