I have entered some bad things into googles main website and the search box displays this history. (I am not talking about the google toolbar for quick searches, I am talking about the google website itself) How do I clear this? I've tried deleating it through the internet options but nothing seems to work. Does google store this information on its servers? Help! Solution is desired ASAP

and thats why you shouldn't search for those things on your parents/school's computers :p

surely there's some setting or other that determines how much space the toolbar can use for history? Other than that (having never used it myself) I don't know. Can you uninstall and reinstall it?

excellent, i love you guys...In a non....you know what i mean
Yeah, you love them in a way unlike how you feel about the things you're searching for on Google.

Ok...you guys help me out.

On my Address bar...you know how it will show web sites that you've been to if you type the letter it starts with?
Well I turnned that off.
But there are still some web sites that come up when I type stuff.

Like a bunch of halflife2.net links. they always come up when I hit H.

I have my history thing set so that it shouldn't keep anything on there. But even when I clear it they are still there.

So, is there any way to get those off of there?

Click on the taskbar, Properties, Start Menu, and there should be an option on there to say 'Clear All Personal History Lists' (or Clear something, but thats what it does)

(If you're on 2000)

you can also go through and delete the autocomplete entries individually in some cases. I did it once, just forgot how.

I remember doing that a long time ago. I have no idea how to do that now either. :p

You can do it by opening IE, going to Tools, Internet Options, then click on the 'Content' tab, and look for a button that says 'Clear Autocomplete'

Yeah but that clears all of them, which sometimes you don't want to do. Ok apparantly in google atleast, just click the text box so the list appears, mouse over an entry and hit delete to do them individually. Handy for removing unwanted ones but keeping others intact.
