It's...em...well it's certainly...different and interesting. Might confuse a few people. I say we keep it and screw with peoples' minds a bit :rolling: .

I use the calssic background. I have been forever. The new "/me" function looks stupid on the classic bacround, though. You can't even see the green on top of the gray/bluish.

You'll need Munro's confirmation on this but I think he mentioned a few days back that there would only be one forum style eventually. It won't be the classic one.

The descriptions should be short and to the point. Additionally, the site doesn't need so many forums.

And I'm guessing Munro is going to add another forum entitled: "Half-Life 2 (Xbox)".

What do you mean "up to date"? Do Colours go out of fashion?

It means I can't be bothered adjusting all the templates when new updates come out, new hacks are installed, PHP scripting added and tweaked. It means I have to do the same job again for every template. I'm lazy

I'll be playing with the forums a lot more tomorrow, installing some new hacks and finishing the style. For now though I must get some sleep.

The Testing style looks great, except for the posts. The background is too light, too much like Tan. I could live with it though.

One thing that does need changing is the link color, it's almost the same as the text color.

More people would moan if we didn't have enough sections to discuss everything.

For example, a year or so ago we never had a fan fiction forum and so posts were made in Half-Life 2 Discussion. This annoyed the people in HL2 Discussion that wanted to just talk about the game, and so we created the fan fiction forum which has become very popular.

I think there is a bug in the testing skin (well isn't that a surprise) - when I first come on here, the bars which tell you what forum it is/when a post was made etc. appear blue for a split second.

It actually looks pretty cool with the blue on the tan, like the beach...........................................................................
