WOOT, no school!

It has been a rough election season, the Grand National Party got slashed with a knife by a leftist guy. Another guy got arrested for violation of the National Security Law (preaching communism).

But anyway,

Polls show complete and total victory for the GNP (the right-wing guys). The Uri (kinda lefty) got destroyed, Democratic Labor (the commies) has approval rating of 5.7%. Democracy FTW. We'll overthrow the evil libertarian peace-mongering regime! POWER OF THE PEOPLE!

WE SHALL BE FREE FROM HIGH TAXES! CAPITALISM! ANTI-COMMUNISM!

This is a weird day for Korea.

Is Korea like politicland?

This is the greatest day since the military rule of 1962. :D

Economy ftw!

sorry to say numbers, but theres something not right in your head!
i't must be the school system there...:rolling:

HOw the hell this get moved? Why did redneck get banned? But anyway, polls are still being counted, and it still shows huge victory for GNP.

Redneck probably got banned because he was a collossal spammer.

The GNP was elected in rigged elections during the 60s and 70s before turning the whole country into pretty much a one-party dictatorship. It was only in 1987 when the elections stopped being super-biased towards them. Unfortunately, I don't read Korean so I can't really make sense of their website. Care to elaborate on their policies? :p

Also: what the f*ck is up with the left in your country? Why do they keep stabbing people and shit? I swear they're not that violent over here. o_O

Anyway numbers, iirc the GNP has been in power without cahnge since the 1950s - that's never a good thing, what the hell is with your country?

Yikes! I can't imagine that sort of excitement in our political theatre (in the US)! Still, might make it interesting to see candidates for president go at it in a ring or perhaps put all of the hopefuls on an island and have them vote each other off Survivor-style. Lots of politics there too with all of the dirty deals and back-stabbing and such--like a mini-DC!

Interestingly, the main opposition leader (Park Geun-hye) is the daughter of Park Chung-hee, the general who seized power in a military coup.

Park Chung-hee came to power in the 1961 coup and was (dramatically) assassinated in 1979, so his daughter makes an interesting leader of the (right-wing) opposition.

Hes on the wind up, im pretty sure.

Grand National Party?

Is Des Lynam the President?

Also, it's good to see South Korea have free elections after years of being a police state.

Thats not true, after we overthrew the depostism of Lee Seung Mahn, we got the military rule and GNP. GNP ruled for 20 years, until our great dear President General Park got assasinated and for antoher 10+ years. Then There was the leftist rules of the KU, the Uri, and now the GNP back again. :D

Reminds me Norsefire. Highest ever support rate.

I have a question for you mr.15357, do you support the policies of the GNP?

Very much. Most of them, anyway.

And military rule is a good thing....when? Sure they might bring you order in the short term, but in the end they'll just shoot you and use your money to buy guns.

#17 is the one that I agree with most (Superbly trained soldiers, more guranteed national security, anti-communism and so on)

You specifically disagree with , what exactly ?
#18. Peaceful reunification.

Not gonna happen, not in 15 decades.

If it wasn't for General Park Jung Hee, and the Yu Sin constitution, we would be the number one poorest country in the world. That is assuming that we hadn't been absorbed into North Korea.
