QUICK EXPLANATION. - CONTACT FOR MORE INFO.
Like Natural Selection, Embryo is a hybrid first-person/real-time strategy game for Halflife 2. There is a resource model, a tech tree, structures and upgrades, just like a traditional RTS (like Starcraft or Command and Conquer). It is mostly played in first-person, but one player can become the Commander and plays from a top-down perspective.
Embryo (based off the movie Aliens)
Simple outline.
- Embryo will contain 2 teams - Marines & Xenomorphs.
- The objective is to eliminate the oppostion.
- Each team will be lead by there following commanders, Marines will be commanded by the Visual Cockpit, and the Aliens commanded by there Queen Xenomorph
- Equipment used in the movie "Aliens" will be used but modified for copyright reasons.
- Embryo's maps will be of a large scale and need "scouting of the map" such as you would in other RTS for the commander to obtain full view.
- Embryo will require team play, and an excellent communication system.
- Upgrades will be rewarded to the teams via the VC/QX
- To earn upgrades a team must capture hold and build resources containers, once a team captures a resource point there team will slowly gain points/credits which they may use on buildings, equipment and upgrades etc.
- Marines A.K.A Xenomorph Marine Corps
- Marines will start with simple ammunitions eg knife, XMC pistol & XMC light rifle.
- One man shall enter the VC ( Visual Cockpit ) And he will command all other players from there.
- Upgrades will be rewarded to the XMC via the VC
- To earn upgrades a team must capture hold and build resources containers, once a team captures a resource point there team will slowly gain points/credits which they may use on buildings, equipment and upgrades etc.
- When a building has been placed down by they VC any marine may go up to the building and build it using his/her action key.
- Aliens A.K.A Xenomorph
- Aliens will start with 2 attacks eg Bite and Chestbite
- One alien is allowed to gestate into the Queen Xenomorph a.k.a QX
- Bio upgrades will be rewarded to the Xeno's via the QX
- To earn upgrades a team must capture hold and build resources containers, once a team captures a resource point there team will slowly gain points/credits which they may use on buildings, equipment and upgrades etc.
- When a structure has been placed down by they QX any xenomorph may go up to the building and build it using his/her action key.
We need anyone at all who is interested.
