Just a quick bulletin: the Empires mod team has released a new version which fixes a big tankload of bugs and adds some small stuff too. Tank God for that. When the mod was first released, players had to tread carefully to avoid bugs, and many that couldn't take the H.E.A.T. went into turrets syndrome on the forums. The big panzers! Luckily, all they had to do was wait for updates until Empires was smooth enough to gain the armour of gamers everywhere. It's a barrel of fun and, while it can be hard to keep track of all the available options (especially as commander), the firepower available will make up for your little willie.[br]Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to work 'rolled homogeneous armour' into this post. I wish they would revert tank and tech prices back to 1.01 - I love the bug fixes, but hate the general gameplay now. Even on emp_money with 10 Resource points, its near impossible to afford a decent Heavy Tank unless your Comm stops researching completely, or you have no one else in your team.

It seems to me that the gameplay is still missing something. Some weapons are very powerful while others border on useless.. Just feels like there's no real choice.
