I have had posts similar to this many times but still haven't found an answer... I first bought the download version of HL2 so i could get source early. This was a great idea until HL2 actually came out and wouldnt work! So, after many hours of getting stuck, I went out and got the DVD version of the game. Before I had this, I was able to play all of my Steam games on every computer I owned, now they all ask for a DVD! Does anyone know how to either share a DVD drive over the network, or emulate the damn thing in some way? I have tried everything (Alcohol120, VirtualDrive, GameDrive, DAEMON Tools)...and none of them do anything at all. Any suggestions???
