No, it was better than Far Cry's. But I was expecting the game to go on longer, in the original Doom there was an entire episode after you defeat the Cyberdemon.

Cyberdemon gets killed, Soulcube goes into the Hellgate and seals it up, reinforcements from Earth arrive and find a survivor (the unnamed marine we play as), they wonder what happened to Bertruger (lead scientist who gave the Soulcube to Hell and purposefully started the invasion), camera shows Bertruger's head inside the mouth of a demon.

i hope a team picks up after the Doom 3 ending, there supposed to be Expansions for Doom 3, i hope someone finishes it off. i want to kill Betruger...or his head... plus there are so many monsters that were left out of Doom 3 that need to make a return.

I just beat it as well, and although the ending was pretty bad, I have to say I enjoyed it thoroughly. I had 97 rockets ready for the Cyber Demon, so, I was able to launch imp after imp into the air.. it was fun

i mean I thought the ending was really that bad. I played through just for getting the satisfaction of owning the cyberdemon because it owned me in doom when i was little

What was so bad about the ending cinematic? Are you talking about the Betruger head, demon dragon thing? I thought that was pretty cool to be honest. Can't wait for any expansions so I can take it to Betruger.

I just beat Doom 3 about 20 minutes ago, it's hard to say that the ending totally blew because tbh there really wasn't much of an ending at all :/

I thought the ending was okay, not overly drawn out, not amazingly brilliant. But hey it wasn't bad.

And my take of Betrugar was he was infact that deamon (perhaps the devil himself) in human form.

I don't know... in some of the PDA logs they said that Bertruger visited Hell and when he came back he was different. I think maybe he was just possesed. I mean, come on, he seemed to want to 'destroy mankind forever' for no apparent reason. What a dumbass.

They shouldn't have called it DooM 3 , they should have just called it DooM, since it is a re-make after all. Actually, if you look at the stone tablets, you see the DooM marine from the original!! So maybe it isn't a re-make after all . Or it was just an inside joke.
