ending to opposing force

how did opposing force end again? i'm trying to piece together the story, i passed it so long ago i can't remember, what happened to shephard?

opfor was really good, probably as good as the origonal halflife compaign. I hope we see a continuation of it in a future hl2 expansion pack.

Shepard defeats big googly thing by shooting it in the eyes. It explodes. Shepard appears in a chopper with gman. Gman says hes tying up all lose ends. Black Mesa gets nuked. Gman imprisons shepard in stasis, End.

I don't think you give Calhoun enough credit. He was just trying to get out of there.He didn't have to face as many things as Freeman, but given the circumstances,he did what any average person would. Plus,he made sure the others got out first, he volunteered to go into Xen. All in all, I'd say that Calhoun's a smart guy. All three of them prefromed above and beyond the normal expectations.

When you think about it - Sheperd is pretty much the only thing that could come close to stopping Freeman. Big G's probably keeping him in the status as a backup Plan just incase Freeman, during the course of HL2, notices that he's not getting free dental or something from his current employer and rebels.
