English

I think in English. But if I remained in China where my I wouldn't forget most (90%) of my Mandarin, I would think in Mandarin.

I lived in Brazil for a year, about 6-7 years ago.
I was about eleven years old and I went to an english/american school there...
I tell you, when we were moving back home to sweden I could barely remember any swedish, I had actually started to think in english fulltime!

It still happens that I can't remember the swedish word, so I use the english word instead.. One of my friends is the same, so we can pretty much have whole conversations in mixed swedish and english! :D

Wonder if Swedish will disappear..? Everybody here knows english anyways..

I think in Latin! Beat that!

I think in Sumerian. Consider yourself beaten :P

For most things I think in English, but for some objects that I learn the names of in other languages I think of in the corresponding language. For example: Pfeffernuse (German), or Gayung (Indo).

I like english better than dutch, so I often think in english. I do have to mix a bit of dutch in at times when doing so, and if I'm talking dutch I think dutch as well.

About dutch vs. old english, if we're talking about the same old english, it is sort of similar. Certain vowels are pronounced in a more dutch/'germanic' way which makes it sound less english and more dutch/german.

I think in English. It started as an experiment, but then it evolved into an addiction.

"The slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts."
~George Orwell

I try not to think in any language, doing so tends to limit the types of thoughts you can have. Basically any thought you have will be a re-run of somebody else's thought. Of course I'm kinda having a hard time expressing what I mean in english. Also this is why some slang is actually a good thing.

Just to explain the "korvben" thingy i talked about earlier.

Korv = sausage
Ben = Leg or bone

We love to connect words with each other here, so you can make up new words all the time. Korvben would mean sausage leg/bone (ewww) and isnt really a Swedish word... we dont have legs on our sausages mind you :)

Wow, I've never heard of that one.
Although Sweden is a pretty small country, the dialects change alot from north and south.
Norrländska is the best, I love how the words are combined.
Can't imagine somebody from i.e. the states trying to understand norrländska, or even worse, skånska. :)

I wish I could speak Norrländska or Göteborgska properly, I hate my current dialect. Ever heard Östgötska? Linköping and ölburk and brödrost. See where I'm going with this? :P :(

Real palt is the most perfect food in the universe.
Östgötska must really be hard. :)
Svenska:
Hej, jag heter moppe och mår bra.
Norrländska:
Hej, ja hete moppe å mår ba bra.
But well, you got to know how to say it. :)

It often happens that when talking with my friends and such I need a specific word, but I can only remember it in english. Also swearing is alot nicer in English (Serbian is the coolest though)
