'Enslaved takes place more than 150 years in the future, where the world has been transformed into a wasteland populated by the remnants of humanity and robots from wars long past. Brutish loner Monkey and tech-savvy female AI Trip find themselves forming an uneasy alliance when they find themselves upon a slave ship rumored to take prisoners to the West, never to be seen again. You'll have to use Trip's brains and Monkey's brawn to survive everything the post-apocalypse has to throw at you.'

A colourful and lush post-apocalyptic setting :O

I have soft spot for Heavenly Sword - despite the few ropey parts it was a good Golden Axe meets this gen adventure - and have unusually high hopes for this. Looks like co-op?

I liked HS a whole lot. So many part of that game amazed me. However, this seems a little too not-stand-out-ish to me. Hopefully the story will be worth the price of admission, or perhaps the battles and environments will be better than they seems so far. Too hard to say yet.

I'll keep this one on my radar, looks interesting

Is Heavenly Sword worth it? Prolly pick it up for a tenner these days.

Well worth a tenner. It ranges from excellent - if you're a fan of old school, Conan style adventure games - to simply ok. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well worth a tenner.
DEFINITELY. There are some average parts, but there are also so many interesting and unique gameplay perspectives that you will just love it. A great, if over-hyped and under-appreciated, game.

In the october issue of Game Informer, it says Ninja Theory brought in a cinematographer to help them with the cut-scenes. It seems this game is very story-driven.

Edit:
Ninja Theory asked a professional cinematographer to come into the office and give the whole staff a few lessons on professional camera work. "With Heavenly Sword, we we were really proud of the cutscenes we created, and people still point to them as well done cinematics," says co-founder Mike Ball. "But this expert reviewed a few of them and said, 'you'd never do that in film,' and 'this thing's bad.' After he explained the rules to us, we started to understand how to set up our scenes better." Simple techniques like adding a wide lens effect to a camera while someone is running across a collapsing bridge or quickly shifting the camera angle during combat add an extra layer of tension to the action in the game.

I heard Ninja Theory hired a screen writer, so hopefully the story will turn out above average. Overall, I am looking forward to this.

With the story being written by the guy who did 28 days later and Andy Serkis is doing mocap for the main character and directing the cutscenes it should prove to be an interesting title.

The Beach was an awesome book and only an average movie. Alex Garland did a great job with the book. His other titles have been lacking. 28 Days Later was a great movie, so it remains to be seen how a game by him will be. I would say 50/50. Could be great, could be not great at all. This still looks pretty uninspired.
