not to sling mud, but there was a rather interesting post by their *former* modeler/skinner Mr_Hat on their own forum. You know, the guy that did all those awsome vehicles all by himself. Its stange that the mod more or less won the coolest mod award by city-17 mainly because of work done by a member thats not even on the team anymore. Anyway heres his post from the entropy forums.

i assume this post will probably be deleted, but maybe some fans can see it before it is.

i didn't leave because i was uncooperative, left because the leaders didn't have their shit together and were unorganized. guess what fans? they weren't going to use those vehicles i modelled for entropy! it was just a 'show' or something..i dunno..to attract attention.

i had 'quit' entropy before...because of the a big arguement over the benz/and some organization stuff...prozak told me that if he didn't get the team organized in 2 weeks, i could leave. i agreed and guess what? 2 weeks later the team still has no direction! we dont know what to do, we dont know our concept, we dont know what we are doing at all.

keep in mind, the problem is NOT on my end. i model what is neccesary, i do what i'm told...i am a modeller and skinner. the problem is with the LEADERSHIP portion of entropy. they change their minds all the time, dont know anything, and dont have any sort of plan whatsoever. i dont work under those conditions well, but apparently it's MY fault.

marv...'dont worry tho, we are working hard' whats that supposed to mean? like i wasn't or something? dammit, i believe i did most everything that this mod has to show graphics wise (except for moutix, my brother modeller he does excellent weapons)

sorry fans...i'd leave my models for entropy to use still..but they aren't using them anyway so what the hell.

miss you guys on entropy who were my buds, you know who you are. and i'll miss the fans too.

btw, maybe the leads should look out for certain ppl on the team...certain ppl that were pming me on their support for a revolt if i lead. yeah. well they seem to back down on their beliefs in organization, and cower in the corner once the gun is pointed at them. you know who you are.

go ahead marvin, i'm sure we are all ears to hear why what i said isn't true...dont hold back, what is it?

the fact is, all of that is true..and you just dont want to say anything because you dont want doubts in the minds of the fans.

and no, i dont expect this mod to be 'done' like all the other mods (which, btw..i dont think i've seen many mods that are done for hl2 lol)...i just expect this mod to do SOMETHING. sheesh, i haven't modelled anything for entropy in like weeks. why, you ask? because its supposed to come from the concept artists, then be approved by the leads. well, you ask, where is the concept art? good question, and where is the organization to coordinate this sort of stuff too? i dont even mind working with or without concept art...i do the things i'm told regardless...but getting everything thrown back in your face after doing it is not the way to treat somebody.

btw fans, when i released the benz, one of the first things that was said (when i asked what the problem was)..was "the probelm with the car is that it doesn't look good"...yes, that is a way you treat a person..good job prozak.

Woah there...., It is not good to go by what one person says and follow through. Just so you know Mr_Hat left (was booted from) entropy team for some reasons. Main reason he made vehicles without concept and was angry when somone asked for modifed versions of his work....

But thats long ago.

also, jsut a random crits on those models, redo all the smoothing groups. they have some of the worst smoothing errors i have ever seen in my life.

well if MrHat was booted, why did you keep his work? If I kick a member out of my mod I have no right to continue using their work for the mod. Unless someone signs a legal paper explicity handing over rights to their work, THEY own said work. I still see MrHats work on your new website.

As much as I agree with those that expressed that there are negative moral implications of use of a former member’s work - this forum is for recruiting. Feel free to continue this conversation in ‘General Off-Topic Chat’ but not here. Enough as been said.
