i need some one to help me with making textures. i can give you the pics, or someone can just go into detail about how to do it. i know how to make a wad, but i dont know the sizes or color ect., so basecly all i do is put them into wally, (dont know the size) and convert them into wads. i know there must be more, plz help.

HL2 doesn't use WADs anymore. You need to make a .vmt and .vtf file for each texture.

The way I do it is save my texture as a .tga then use "vtex" to create the .vmt & .vtf files HL2 can read.

I'm no expert though, there may be better ways.

oh, sorry for being unspecific, im making the map for CS:S, and they use wads

No they don't. Use vtex to convert your tga textures to .vmt and .vtf files.
