Ep. 2, full of easter eggy goodness?

I absolutely don't mind making it alert other antlions, but giving you a bonus of some sort just isn't HL style.
I know exactly what you mean but, as Mahalis said, medkits all over an antlion hive doesn't make sense. Sure a medkit on a corpse makes sense, but you can't do loads and loads of that - it'd look pretty stupid after the third time.
Plus this way gives you the dilemma of whether to get health and risk attack and death right away or not to get health and risk attack and death in a little bit.

That and they'd have the HEV say something weird like : "Chemical Compound extracted - injecting into bloodstream."

For some reason I find the idea of Xen pools much more appealing than getting health from grubs. I have no idea what that reason is :/

Gordon should be able to eat the grubs :p

i cant find anything wrong with gathering health from the tiny antlions or the idea of Xen pools

Maybe Valve can make the idea sound better in the game, we'll see.

Seems that antlions are actually bloody useful.
Kill one of those big c*nts, slit them open and roll around in all the flith oozing out of the wounds and you've got a posse of antlions on your side.
Then, you step into their turf and kill their children and you get some health.
Hell yeah.

AWOOGA!

Not to mention, you busted Nova Prospekt to dust with their help.

Well it seems that judging from the new ep2 video there will be a lot of easter eggs so don't worry about that.

Yep. Finally getting rewarded for adventurous exploration, though we saw a bit of that in Sandtraps too, with all those crates far from solid ground.

I seriously hope that is not the plan...it sounds like a half assed answer to a problem, and that just isnt the way Valve works...its an old mine shaft...I see no reason why there cant be a viable solution to the health problem...at one point it was operated by a business that probably wanted to keep their employees alive down there...perhaps a med station somewhere...

I doubt it. The med-stations are Combine-made. And the Combine don't seem to show any interest in human industries.

Some grub bits are extracted from the body when dying, and they magically give health, its official.

See that other thread about the new video.

I mean an actual human first aid station in the mine...
