Episode 1 Help?!

I recently upgraded to a Nvidia EVGA 8800GTS 640mb and 2 gb of ddr2. I did a clean format when i upgraded, and reinstalled my game's. While playing HL2 E1 i noticed the charcters movemts are really choppy, they are not smooth. There facial expressions are smooth however the larger moves such as running and when dog jumps around everywhere in Direct Intevention appear very choppy. I have the latest nvidia drivers and the game is up to date. Strange thing is.. it wasnt like that last week. I installed Dark messiah might and magic multiplayer, and ever seince then the game has not worked properly. I tried removing the game's, reinstalling them, reinstalling the drivers, forcing direct X, still nothing... So does anyone have any idea whats going on???? I dont think its the card because it runs oblivion, Dark Messiah and X3 reunion just perfactly.. Im out of ideas and any help would be appreciated.

There's nothing wrong with your video card.
It's happening to many people, because of a bad update or something.

Well... all we can do now is to wait for a fix to be released.
