thanks for the extra link Tehacious. it's scary how the legs of that robot dog look like the ones on the hunters from episode 2.

Oh god I love those things. The sound they make is absolutely hilarious

Edit: creepy, I just turned on the TV to see an episode of 'The Nature of Things' about robots, and the pentagon has assigned group to create one...

I'm shocked, scared and amazed, I remember seeing an earlyer version of it but I don't remember exactly when it was.

Wow, that is absolutley freaky when you see it in real life. I would not want one of those after me

That's so god damn freaky.

Freaky but in the vid in the link Tenacious posted its seems far too slow to actually do anything.

i dunno , looks like you could jump over a hole in the ground and get round it. If the hole you have chosen is steep enough it will sort of... fall over i guess , like my dog did that one time.

A hammer will do the job just fine. As long as you take it from the back.

Anyway the point is , these things (although cool and creepy) are bound to fail.

i wouldnt be so sure. at the rate theyre testing these and all those other unmanned vehicles,
its only a matter of time

pffft, use the Strider's REAL movement, it would be more badass and would propably have better movement.

You guys actually believe Alex Jones?!

Yes the dog thing exists but my God, it's not intended to "deal with uncooperative humans".

Alex Jones is a nut job and I REALLY hope you guys aren't falling for his paranoia... please, PLEASE do whatever it takes to break your mind free of his BS and think for yourselves. I'm begging you.

HAHAHA, Alex Jones may or may not be crazy, that doesn't really matter so much. The point is that the technology for physically adept and autonomous robots is being developed, this alone foreshadows many more dark developments, and agrees with much of the frightening science fiction that's out there. Also, many certified NOT crazy people think that autonomous AI will be developed in 40-50 years.
