episode 2 stuck, help (spoiler)

im stuck on a bridge. im trying to find some car, but the bridge im on just got torn up. i knocked all of the cars off, but the bridge doesnt ramp up enough for me to jump to the next part of it

YOu need to get all the cars to the end that's up high; then it'll ballance out a bit.

move the cars. the bridge is a big see-saw.

I just moved all the cars off the bridge, then it will balance all the way to the other side, so you can make a nice jummp with the car.

You don't have to balance it perfectly.

I'm having trouble with this same problem. I've tried moving all the cars to the higher side of the bridge, but the bridge doesn't move at all. I've tried to just race as fast as I can to the other side, no luck. What do I do... are you guys moving all the cars to the higher side by jumping the car into the middle section first? Or just Gordon?

i just pushed them all off and walked to the middle of the bridge.

Just Gordon. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if you're doing something slightly wrong, but the bridge should seesaw back the other way once you put some weight on the higher end.

It took me a while to understand what to do too. I knocked a couple of cars off the bridge in my experimentation, but from my experience I can say that it's possible to do it with just 2 cars. From what other people are saying it also seems possible with no cars at all. Try walking up and down the bridge.

I'm beginning to think I have a bugged copy or something... haha. I've tried this atleast 50 different times now... I can't get the bridge to begin to move at all... I walked up and down it.. I moved the cars to the higher end, nothing happened so i knocked them all off nothing happened..... where did you guys have the car your suppose to drive at while knocking the other cars around?

I suggest you go to an earlier save game on the previous level and try again. Just push the cars onto the other side, and the bridge should drop.

Sounds a little to me like the citadel bug in HL2 where you couldn't jump over that little fence.

Okay, this is what happened (yes it was a glitch, quite the major one.) After the pulse thing goes off, the bridge is suppose to fall apart, and the side nearest you should go up. What happened to me was that the bridge fell the opposite way, so that I could ramp onto the bridge, but then the bridge fell apart more and the side that was suppose to be up first, finally went up, and the other side was down and the bridge just froze like that.... so I couldn't do anything.... got past it now though.
