So now we have all played Episode 2 what do you want or don't want in Episode 3 think of this as your wish list.

Bigger synths. Striders are way too spindly. I want something I can actually walk over.

Wants: dynamic snow (i.e. anything left on the floor will be covered), NO antlions, a new enemy, more g-man, chell.

Don't want: portal gun, annother character dying, long boring speeches, long boring zombie level.

Want: New enemy, SNOW ENVIRONMENT, no damn antlions, a fitting conclusion to the story arc

A way to hurt advisors without floating in the air like a useless PoS.

A new gravitygun color/variation with new effects/mechanics.
 
Do want:
- Crowbar = first weapon given, and only one available for at least a little while. Gravity gun is getting old.
- Cf. above: new variation on gravity gun. Temporary malfunction might be interesting.
- Water. Frozen lake, whatever - something to show off the sexy reflections and things, ideally swim-in-able.
- Sidekick-ness with someone other than Alyx. Barney, maybe.
- Mossman.
- Battle with both Hunters and humanoid-Combine.
- New synths.
- More showing off of HDR, as in Lost Coast and ending-bits of Ep1. Should be plenty of opportunities for this in a snowy environment.
- At least one vehicle chapter - snowmobile maybe?
- A chance to put some hurting on an Advisor. Indirect (hitting a button, whatever) would be fine, if their powers prevent direct combat; I just want to see one explode into gooey slug-bits.
- Daytime zombie level.
- Cinematic physics, ideally player-trigger-able.

Do not want:
- Another ally death. The first one was enough.
- Escort mission.
- Antlion tunnels. Highway-17/Sandtraps-style aboveground stuff is fine, particularly if there's something to run them over with, but no more tunnels.
- Easy physics puzzles. The "biggest physics puzzle in the series" was effectively pushing weights off the end of a see-saw. Lame.
 
Why does no one want the portal gun?




Want: Valve to stop showing off there fancy physics engine with stupid seesaw puzzles.
 
Want:
- angry, not joking, not smiling Alyx; looking for a chance for vengeance
- new Combine machinery, Synths, more flying craft, heavy tank-like stuff
- get a hint who GMan is working for and why; maybe not the whole story behind him, but something to think about
- gore and some F words (Alyx shouting "I'm gonna fry your ass, f****r!" ;)).

Don't want:
- Zombi(n)es
- Headcrabs
 
Wants: Zombie level. Its like tradition in the HL universe. Oh and Advisors. Lets kick some ass. And of course some more about our resident G-Man. And a new main character death (I reckon Mossman) and new enemies (just the crab synth kind of thing).

Don't wants: Portal gun, new guns appearing out of nowhere, Shepard, Barney, a boss fight, etc.
 
A fight with some of the advisor's, more scenes' that involve the G-Man (more development of his part of the story, aka us learning more about who he is and what he is trying to do), more Vortigaunts (more explaining of them and their intentions) and a conclusion of the story acre and a satisfying one as well aka us destroying the combine in a definite way that hopefully will involve killing advisor's.
 
The game is 15 rated well here anyway so that's unlikely to happen.

And, for those who say its blanked out by the crash, he does actually say it, me and AciD were doing Co-op Hl2 in Synergy today and the crash doesnt happen, he does say it in full. You never know what she could shout...
 
Want: Better squad based combat. The Combine soldiers are a bit too individualistic currently.
Helicopter shenanigans.
Better maps.
Procedural encounters: Shouldn't be too hard to set up a system where Combine soldiers are spawned in by a gunship if you aren't taking down places... or something. I just want random encounters.
 
Snow white bullsquids with black spots and red, blood stained tentacles that show up well in the snow. Same thing with a hound eye, with black tiger stripes. Deformable snow surfaces would be cool too.

Mother ****ing time paradoxes too.
 
Want-
-Valve to pull of Alyx's transition to happy-go-lucky to angry and bitter believably.
-A new outfit for Alyx (can't go walking around in the Arctic with those tattered and bloodied clothes, can she?)
-Return of Barney and Judith Mossman.
-Be able to assist Alyx with killing an Advisor AND be able to kill a few by ourselves.
-Zombies, somehow.
-Better-written dialogue than in Episode Two (honestly guys, at a few points it was pretty weak).
-More Hunters and possibly other synths.
-A bit more alone time, but not so much that Alyx's change in personality is lost on us.
-G-Man revelations and heavy involvement in the fate of Gordon and Alyx.
-Possibly a new weapon to beef up the arsenal, which honestly is getting a bit stale.
-A better glimpse of the Combine Homeworld and possibly a peek at the bigger picture for later installments.

Don't want-
-Antlions.
-Valve to make the game way too easy (they're starting to get into a bad habit with that).
-Alyx to be so unbearably whiny and depressed that I keep shooting her in the head, with no apparent effect. (judging by what the developers said about her encounter with the Hunters to be a turning point for her personality, I don't think this is going to happen).
-Alyx to die. It's not her time.
-A character to die if it won't significantly advance the plot.
 
Considering we are going to an Icebreaker ship that disappeared before the Combine invasion, and the general region that doesn't have a strong combine presence, we may run across objects and weapons that are radically different from the ones we have been using in the entirety of HL2

I'll never give up the crowbar. I agree about the other weapons though, I've had quite enough of the MP7 and the USP Tac. Bring back the Glock from HL1!

I want them to not be so easily killed. Two hits with a log and they're down. If you're forced to use firearms then they're harder to kill.
 
I'd like hunters fighting along side human combine that would make for a challenging back and forth between shooting and throwing.

They are quite easy with the Gravity Gun, but forcing players to use guns is not fun and not a solution.

Yeah, I don't mind it either (it's quite fun), but you can't force that just to make it hard--that wouldn't be fun, and it isn't a solution to difficulty. Couple things..

-You won't find logs in the Arctic
-Increase the amount of Hunters around the player; three at a time and it starts to get tricky
-Make them move more-dart past the player, jump to the side more frequently. They aren't versatile enough
 
When did I say anything about making it easier? Removing the props is to make it harder.
