lol yeah it appeared after I posted that, broken forums? Well I wont be even bothering to play the game through on the easy difficulty, so on a medium difficulty I predict for us lot, around 4 hours gameplay, if its more than that then good stuff

Finally, some reasoning. This is not just one game, people, but three. And yes Valve hired the guys from Digipen(?), but I'm sure it pulls on the other resources of Valve, such as playtesting, etc. Also, it is being ported to the 360. Which I think is admirable, they are trying to bring an awesome franchise to a wider group of people.

And, let's not fret over how long it takes to develop Ep2/Portal/TF2...until we actually play them all. Then we might discover the amount of development time was worth it.

That is a bit of a spin. When people talk about the length of a game they refer to a one time play through- give or take a few hours depending on what difficulty you chose, not the cumulative of all playthroughs.

Have you even played episode 2? Your probably going to be in the arctic in episode 3 trying to get to the Borealis. Plus your saying half-life 3 and its episodes will just be gordon running away from the now destroyed and rebel ruled city 17? I don't think so.

Episode 2? It doesn't sound like he even played Episode 1. Not even Ep. 2 was about running away from City 17, it was about getting to White Forest, which just happened to be in the direction leading away from C17.

Unless that was a really bad joke post.
